World Book Day is coming!

This Saturday is the World Book Day and in class we wanted to do a special activity. Our teacher @mjgsm ask us to use Aurasma and record a video or an audio explaining our favourite book, the type of reader we are, etc.

In other post I explained you how to use Aurasma. It is very easy to use and with the QR code that I give you, you can follow my channel and discover what I made.

The trigger image I used is this one:

I took a picture of the book and I use Canva.com to make the poster. Is a really good tool because it allows you to make nice posters in few minutes. It has many resources in spite of lots of them you need to pay.

The video you are going to watch inside the trigger image, was edited with the Wondershare Filmora tool. It is a simple computer program that allows you to edit, insert images or videos, insert music, etc.

For those of you that have problems or you can’t use Aurasma, I upload the video on youtube, so you can watch it here.

In addition, my classmates made their own posters and trigger images using Aurasma, you can watch their fantastic creations in this board on Pinterest.

Tutorial about Aurasma

Hi everyone!
In this challenge we had to create a tutorial and as we used Aurasma, we wanted to show you how you can create augmented reality, it is very simple!
To record the tutorial we used Screencast-o-Matic. This program allows you to record your computer screen and voice, so you can explain the process at the same time you do it. Is very simple to use it. Then we also record with our mobile phone a scene and then we edit it with Wondershare Filmora.

Here you have the result!

If you have any problem or doubt just leave a comment!

A CLIL Chocotalk!

Hello!

Chocotalk? What is this?! It is something really interesting that you have to discover @chococharlas. We have been part of this project and we have collaborate with them.

This challenge was quite special, the 7th of April at 19.00h Spanish time we met through hangouts tool and we speak about CLIL for an hour. All the groups that we conform the class at collage participate. My friend @nepeuspu and me @Alvaro_Gope were the speakers of our group and on the back there was @Marta_Gayarre as disseminator, she had to spread the information and the topics we were talking about on twitter. Then the content curators that recap all the information and the most important things were @22paau and @maradominguezgo. Here you have the Genial.ly that we created to sum up the entire event:

The topics that we spoke about were:

  • Advantages and disadvantages of CLIL
  • Social and emotional benefits of CLIL
  • The role of ICT in the classroom
  • CLIL eProjects.

The last topic was about our eProjects and the presentation of them. There were some very interesting like: Our body, Traveling and Europe, History, Animals or the Space.

Here you can see chocotalk:

We also create a label that announce the event:

Videochallenge!

Hi!

As you read in the title, we had to make a video! We recorded the video about our eProject and we tried to make it engaging, not only explaining what is about. We wanted to simulate a real scene and prove that our goals can be craft with the project.

We want to teach our students that they have been living on a neighbourhood that they do not know. They do not realize about the public transport, the cleanliness, the heritage, the economy, etc. So we want to involve them in discovering all this topics and make them think about them, if it is right to be in those conditions or not.

So after thinking what topics we wanted to introduce, we had to make a storyboard. We thought that the easiest way was creating a Google Docs and making a draft. Here you can see the dialog:

To record the video we use a reflex camera and then we use iMovie to edit it. We had already use this tool to edit videos, but the challenge was to clean the noise of the wind. We had to record outside and the sound of the voice and the environment produce feedback. It was quite difficult but we could solve it. I think this tool is really good and it has a lot of resources, the problem is that only computers with Mac can use it. There are other tools as Sony Vegas or Wondershare Filmora that are good to.

As I told you, there was a surprise behind the InfoEduGraphic and it was this video. We wanted to hide it in the picture and make it more interesting.

So here is our video, we hope you enjoy it!

Creating an InfoEduGraphic

Hello everyone!

In this challenge we have to work in groups and create an eProject. My group is composed by @marta_Gayarre @22paau @maradomingezgo @nepeuspu and me @Alvaro_GoPe.

The first step was to assign roles:

  • Speaker: @nepeuspu
  • Supervisor:@marta_Gayarre
  • Secretaries: @22paau @maradominguezgo
  • Coordinator: @Alvaro_Gope

Then we had to create an infographic about our topic. We wanted to work our neighbourhood and teach students that they do not know their environment. We are going to work topics like public transport, heritage, economy and recycling. So after trying different tools like, Genial.ly, Piktochart.com, infogr.am, we have decided to use Canva.com because it has more resources to create an infographic. The disadvantage of this tool is that only few things are free, but with imagination, you can create your own template.

This picture hides something that you can discover it tagging the QR code and using the Aurasma app (for iOS and Android).

You only have to create an account in Aurasma and follow our channel eProject_hood or tag the QR code that is going to be easier.

We also created a twitter where we are posting our improvements, you can follow us and read how is going on the eProject. @eProject_Hood

I hope you enjoy it!
